Which is Mightier

“You know that expression, “The pen is mightier than the sword” - do you think it’s true?”

“Well, it probably depends on the situation in which you find yourself. If someone was coming at me with a sword, I’d probably prefer to also have a sword rather than say a pen. But if I was sitting an exam, then I’d prefer to have a pen rather than a sword. It would be more appropriate.”

“They probably wouldn’t let you into the examination hall anyway if you had a sword in your hand.”

“Well they might be too intimidated to stop me, but even so I’d still prefer to have a pen in that situation.”
