When crossing roads be careful to avoid being hit by fast-moving traffic, coming from either direction.

Indeed. Except quite a few of us end up throwing ourselves into the road gladly, just to escape all the hideousness. Me? I just stick on Lyric, light a fag, and let my mind drift back to the 80s when we were poor but happy.

Lyric the saviour from the hideous world of every other fecking Irish radio national radio-station. John Kelly's show very fine.
As for throwing oneself gladly onto non-onrushing Dublin traffic- i'm afraid twould merely result in some minor bruising and a veneeer of burning humiliation to top off one's emasculated rage.
