Impeach Now Or Face the End of Constitutional Democracy

Paul Craig Roberts was the Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury under the Reagan aministration & the mastermind behind the economic policy that became known as Reaganomics. He was Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal editorial page and Contributing Editor of National Review

"Unless Congress immediately impeaches Bush and Cheney, a year from now the US could be a dictatorial police state at war with Iran.

Bush has put in place all the necessary measures for dictatorship in the form of "executive orders" that are triggered whenever Bush declares a national emergency. Recent statements by Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff, former Republican senator Rick Santorum and others suggest that Americans might expect a series of staged, or false flag, "terrorist" events in the near future."

Seems pretty ignorant of the Conspiracy on both paul and Wills part. The conspiracy does not need anything to keep control. They've had it for over 50 years (probably longer) when it comes to the executive branch.

Prof Carol Quigley in his book Tragedy and Hope, said that the parties are made such as the people can "throw the bums out" and yet the insiders can still have an individual in the White House that will fulfil their agenda.

Hillary wins, it will be the same as if GW were still there. Rudy McRomney wins, it will be the same as if GW were still there.

Congress is the key!

That's certainly true about false oppositions, anon; isn't arch- rightist, Rupert Murdoch, now supporting the Hilary Clinton electoral push, after all? I think though, perhaps the fact that a figure like Roberts himself was once near teh heart of the establishment meant that the push down the merry road of totalitarianism was a much more difficult thing to force through. I'm no expert on US politics but presumably figures like Roberts have been marginalised, or pushed out altogether in the current Rep hierarchy. While obviously the ruling elites(Skull & Bonesman Kerry, for instance) run the Dems, there would be a geater degere of internal opposition to such obvious fascism as the neo-cons are pushing.

Just to add, I've no idea to what degree Roberts' notion of the conspiracy stretches but as far as he can probably say & still retain credibility- here & elsewhere he's shown plenty guts in speaking out.
