Tommy Johnson from 1928. Canned heat was a toxic, cheap alcoholic concoction of which Johnson himself partook. It seems the legend of a blues man selling his soul at the crossroads was first associated with Tommy Johnson, and later connected to the more famous (unrelated) Robert Johnson.
