“You know the way glass doesn’t bend - or I don’t know, if it does maybe bend to some minuscule scientific degree, still it’s not worth talking about. Effectively, for all intents and purposes, under normal conditions it doesn’t bend.”
“I agree with all that, yeah. If the force is sufficient it just shatters. What about it?”
“Is that racist?”
“Racist?! Glass not bending?”
“Yeah, racist.”
“Well, I admit it hadn’t really struck me till now, but maybe you’re right, maybe it is.”
“And do you think it’s fair to blame Donald Trump for it?”
“Well, I suppose, yeah, once you apply critical thinking to the issue, it probably is fair.”
“But you still can’t talk to some people.”
“That’s true. Their minds are closed.”
“They saunter on through life like everything’s just fine.”
