Track Me Now

Donald Trump Jnr’s response to one of the benevolent overlords at the World Economic Forum (“You will own nothing”) talking of the ability now to implement total surveillance of the public’s external activities, for the best of reasons of course - to save the world, there’s no better reason than that. Naturally you’d have to be a criminal degenerate not to wish to do your part in saving the world, and letting the overlords’ minions track everything you do. And also naturally, for security reasons, it would be unwise and unnecessary to track the overlords’ themselves activities and their slightly enormously bigger carbon footprints as they stomp their way around this wonderful world of ours. Otherwise people might draw unfair conclusions that could jeopardise everything. That’s why Trump Jnr’s response is so typically toxic: doesn’t he know we have a world to save, and if we have to enslave the masses to do that, then that’s what has to be done. And no, we shouldn’t start with first tracking everyone at the World Economic Forum first. What would that serve, apart from exposing unimaginable levels of hypocrisy. We all know there’s quite large quantities of hypocrisy in the world. That doesn’t mean we should go looking at it.
