Yuri Bezmenov, KGB Defector on indoctrination of the West

I’ve posted before on this courageous man, who was actively engaged by the KGB in the work of propaganda and subversion of foreign countries, particularly through implanting of Marxist-Leninist ideas into the education system, and here, back in the mid 1980s he talks in detail about the process of this destabilising process, and provides an obvious lens on what has continued to happen to the world in the interim, and what is pouring out with such force at the moment.

Why such focus on destabilisation of the “enemy.” Well first remember within this doctrine, everything opposed to the global triumph of the doctrine is the enemy, standing in the way of a progress that is somehow embedded within the program of reality. So to be in a state of human affairs where the doctrine has not as yet achieved its full victory and incarnation is for its adherents to be by definition in a war footing. And so, since The Revolution is the value by which all is measured, the winning of this war, from within against the enemy of one’s own state if not a communist one, or external states, if they are not united under its banner, is the first principle of existence, before the Revolution’s triumph, and the stabilisation of its victory after its triumph.

And so Bezmenov - and it’s a while since I watched the first half of the talk - talks of how The Art of War by Sun Tzu a couple of millennia ago, is a basic part of Soviet education, where the ideal of winning a conflict is to do so without having to go to war at all, but through subversion of the enemy’s society from within. Thus its values are eroded, and its capacity and willingness to defend itself is lost through that destabilisation process. It no longer is or recognises itself so as to defend itself! Bezmenov even mentions that as one symptom and tactic of this, through the hidden program of subversion and indoctrination, for example, rather than proper, vigorous education distract the youth to be instead obsessed with things like sexuality identity! He actually can be very amusing amidst what could be a very dry subject, and at times, so far have we gone down the road he talks of, sometimes how he refers to certain golden calves of liberal values is quite shocking to our shifted sensibilities. The video is about an hour long, but below is a sample of only a few minutes from an interview with him below from around 1984:
