Something I’m working on - which isn’t to say it’s worth working on.

View

A man wished to see the view from the top of a nearby mountain, but refused to make the effort to climb up it. Every now and then though, however it would come about, he might make something of an effort, even quite genuine, but after a while he’d get fed up or disheartened about this effort and come back down again. He ended up even quite bitter about the view and how much was expected of one to get to see it, not secondhand but for oneself that is, in the flesh.
He had mixed feelings when hearing of people, armed I suppose with a bit of discipline, who seemingly did get to see it. “If they, why not I? . . .” “Who says they saw it? And are we supposed to just take their word for it?! I bet they saw nothing!” That kind of stuff.

My Will Be Done - Transgenderism as a Spiritual Phenomenon

Unfortunately there’s a topic there’s to some degree no getting away from, and so I’ll try to succinctly deal with transgenderism as a spiritual phenomenon. This is also encompassed within this post on thought and temptation: https://wwwinabstentia-andrewk.blogspot.com/2023/04/liberalism-and-spiritual.html.

One of the key lines said or taught by Christ is “Thy will be done,” and even to the pint of a willingness to undergo martyrdom. Salvation and the receiving of true spiritual enlightenment comes from surrender to the will of God; that we manage to not be shut off from the spirit by the sterile narrowness of egotism.
By contrast, the very first sin, and the core of all sin, in the spiritual realm, is by contrast precisely the exaltation of this egotism, whose essence is encapsulated by the words, “My will be done.” I and my desires are the highest value, and this desire, the perverted attempt to overthrow God and the spiritual order, creates fallen angels of angels, and likewise with humanity.

I’m not going to bother needlessly fleshing this out, but it should so be pretty obvious why transgenderism as an ideology is so integral to the left, which has always leaned strongly towards atheism. Besides the usual and obvious tactics and goals of subversion of society, which is to be overthrown, in an existential sense transgenderism is an expression of “Not thy will be done, my will be done.” We’re even going to rebel against the body! So it’s subversion as a political weapon, undermining society  - this is just basic socialist methodology, the unscrupulous means justified by the imagined good that will somehow magically appear down the line - but at a deeper spiritual level, defiance and debasement are the higher end in itself.

And remember, in a very real sense egotism pushed further along the routes of and to itself, becomes ever more demonic. Thus Nazism and Communism, in the midst of a post-Industrial Revolution Europe supposedly advancing into progress and rationalism, unfolded as they did. It wasn’t an  accidental freak of history that they became demonic! Heaven on earth created by the imaginings and will of the ego - well that’s the egotism of “My will be done”, and that’s where egotism leads.

Obviously with all this and transgenderism I’m referring here to the ideological essence and motives, rather than the vulnerable people being sold this as all very virtuous and desirable. And it should be clear why this is a “sacred” issue for the cause at hand. And as is written in Corinthians, “Satan masquerades as an angel of light.” Twisted thoughts don’t tend to helpfully declare themselves to be twisted!

Though, come to think of it, we did have one of the super-bland pop star/gender ideology figureheads performing a song, I think called Unholy, at the super-bland Grammys, made up as Satan in the midst of a trans orgy. Very subtle. Nothing to see here.
On that point, I suppose the more crude and infected a culture becomes, such as this corporate controlled mainstream one, the less need for subtlety and concealment. It can all hang out there - or at least its proponents imagine so.

Wet and Dry

A very quick piece I’d have done recently; the first photo with the ink still wet, the second having dried.

We Cannot Limp

“We cannot limp along in the spiritual life; we cannot just stay in the hallway. If you stay in the hallway, you will never get to God’s living room.” A quote taken from the book, Saint Paisios of Mount Athos.

The Educators

More new news from the musical industrial complex where hotly tipped new group The Educators have just released their debut single, Proud to be Pimps for the Antichrist. The song, which is especially targeted at children, “who in their innocence and naivety should be most open to its message”, is described as both depraved and educational. The Educators, in a very recent Rolling Stone interview, expressed great admiration for the also just released song, Love Bomb Me With Your Corporation Communism by Depopulation Agenda. “It’s so hot!” they said. And there’s no higher praise than that.

Love Bomb

The Bill Gates managed girl group Depopulation Agenda have a new song coming  out called, Love Bomb Me With Your Corporation Communism Onslaught. A sample of the lyrics below:

Don’t stop what you’re doing to me
Cos it makes me feel all fuzzy
And vague
Love bomb
Love bomb
Love bomb my brain away.

Justin’s Musical Side Project

Liberal icon and Canadian, Justin Trudeau is embarking on a side project within his already busy schedule by recording and releasing some music. Trudeau has always been passionate about good music, and lists his favourite musicians as “anyone in the industry devoted to LGBTQ etc rights.” He admits to a particular fondness for funky slap bass solos, “provided they are sexy and of course in no way hostile to the LGBTQ etc agenda.”

Trudeau’s debut song, released on The Globalist record label, will test the waters of public receptivity upon its launch next Monday. The song is called Blackface Me Now, the cover art for which may be seen below. Vinyl versions of the single will contain the b side Nobody Gonna Call Me No Narcissist Puppet (or else they gonna be long time locked up for hate speech).

Saint Paisios of Mount Athos

A book I would most highly recommend, and though I’m as yet not very far into it myself as yet, is this biography of the 20th century Greek figure, Saint Paisios, its cover pictured above. It’s so easy for our minds to haphazardly and carelessly be filled with all kinds of drivel and rubbish, all the more reason for someone as deep and extraordinary as this finding some access to our beings. Besides its content it is very attractively produced also, and though it might seem costly, especially if, as in my case, with added postage, any such cost is irrelevant really given its real value.

Bono Boost

Bono has been declared an International Holiday by the United Nations. I’m not quite sure what in practice this means or involves, but everyone will agree that, in these days of strife, confusion and all kinds of different kinds of weather, this is a wonderful boost for humanity, both young and old. Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Rick Astley made the announcement on behalf of the UN earlier today from an undisclosed location.

Turn On

Just a quick thought on the 60s generation in terms of those apparent values of freedom and questioning of authority, etc that were all apparently so precious, but who ended up in the long run completely subservient to the systems of authority such as big government, big pharma, big media, etc. There was a famous line, whether it deserved its fame or not, by the acid proselytiser Timothy Leary, “Turn on, tune in, drop out.” Well over time, we’ve seen icons of the 60s spirit, like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell,  exhibiting total subservience to the said party lines of big government, big pharma, big media, and demanding the active suppression of any dissident voices like Joe Rogan who talked of, and acted, otherwise than the manner of total subservience demanded of them - and what’s worse, how they lived to tell the tale!

Well - and this is less succinct than I’d have wished - that slogan of Leary’s and its receptive target audience is long due an update, and I think that updated slogan for its chosen and receptive audience should perhaps go something like this:

Turn on (the mainstream media), tune in, bow down.

landscape

Something I’m doing as of now but this isn’t quite how it will remain - for better or worse. Unlike most other artistic forms, visual art can be ruined in the act of creation- despite maybe being pretty good earlier on in the process. If for example you try to continue writing something, the earlier work isn’t destroyed by the later misjudgments, or the same with writing a song. You don’t lose the core of the song through stumbling toward its felt correct form. You definitely can destroy or mess up a piece of visual art though in the working on it.

Yuri Bezmenov, KGB Defector on indoctrination of the West

I’ve posted before on this courageous man, who was actively engaged by the KGB in the work of propaganda and subversion of foreign countries, particularly through implanting of Marxist-Leninist ideas into the education system, and here, back in the mid 1980s he talks in detail about the process of this destabilising process, and provides an obvious lens on what has continued to happen to the world in the interim, and what is pouring out with such force at the moment.

Why such focus on destabilisation of the “enemy.” Well first remember within this doctrine, everything opposed to the global triumph of the doctrine is the enemy, standing in the way of a progress that is somehow embedded within the program of reality. So to be in a state of human affairs where the doctrine has not as yet achieved its full victory and incarnation is for its adherents to be by definition in a war footing. And so, since The Revolution is the value by which all is measured, the winning of this war, from within against the enemy of one’s own state if not a communist one, or external states, if they are not united under its banner, is the first principle of existence, before the Revolution’s triumph, and the stabilisation of its victory after its triumph.

And so Bezmenov - and it’s a while since I watched the first half of the talk - talks of how The Art of War by Sun Tzu a couple of millennia ago, is a basic part of Soviet education, where the ideal of winning a conflict is to do so without having to go to war at all, but through subversion of the enemy’s society from within. Thus its values are eroded, and its capacity and willingness to defend itself is lost through that destabilisation process. It no longer is or recognises itself so as to defend itself! Bezmenov even mentions that as one symptom and tactic of this, through the hidden program of subversion and indoctrination, for example, rather than proper, vigorous education distract the youth to be instead obsessed with things like sexuality identity! He actually can be very amusing amidst what could be a very dry subject, and at times, so far have we gone down the road he talks of, sometimes how he refers to certain golden calves of liberal values is quite shocking to our shifted sensibilities. The video is about an hour long, but below is a sample of only a few minutes from an interview with him below from around 1984:

Rufino Tamayo

I don’t know its title, but a painting by this 20th century Mexican artist. There’s a line of his I’ve just seen which I like: “As the numbers of colours we use decreases, the wealth of possibilities increases.”

The Sea is Stilled

 Mark 4:36-41

35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.” 36 After dismissing the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him. 37 And a fierce gale of wind *developed, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling with water. 38 And yet JesusHimself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and [l]it became perfectly calm. 40 And He said to them, “Why are you [m]afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

Not that there’ll be anything new in the following, but this passage which is included in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, struck me strongly lately as a kind of living parable, within which great truth is embodied. I chose this version of the three for its inclusion of the disciples’ plea, “Do you not care that we are perishing?”

The fierce winds and waves threatening to overwhelm can be in our times the deranged ideologies and obvious spirit of despotism that seem to be in the process of swamping western society. This is “the world” which Jesus says will hate you for my sake. Meanwhile God seems to be sleeping, oblivious; and thus the despair of the believers that God or Christ is sleeping, or doesn’t apparently even care that they are perishing.

But he responds, where is your faith, why are afraid, having seen in their case the power he has which is stronger than “the world.” Their faith as shown by their own future martyrdoms, will extend even unto death, but of course here Christ stills the storm by a simple command; and in the ultimate sense of life this silencing of the apparently triumphant “world” will occur at the moment of his choosing also. So it is in his sleeping that our faith is tested and deepens, though I’m very wary of the platitudinal blandness saying this can suggest - as if this were something straightforward, a simple formula that we should obviously adhere to. It’s no simple thing in the midst of some of these storms! And Dostoevsky’s line stands out to me that his faith had come through “a great furnace of doubt.”

Choice - Acid Eiffel

Released in 1993.

Lowest Common

Toxic Blandness, perhaps the hottest new group from the production line of the musical industrial complex, have a new song out called Lowest Common Denominator. A few lyrics from the mysterious and catchy number are printed below, courtesy of the World Health Organisation:

I’m so inclusive
I’ll be everything to everyone
Cos I’m the lowest common denominator
I’ll see you later
If you know what I mean
And we can talk about gender
And how cool it is to be different
And obedient
And how we all think the same
Cos we’re the lowest common denominator
Lets ignore the haters
They’re not different like us
And they’re so jealous
Cos they know they can’t be
The lowest common denominator (etc)

The B side is I Wanna Be Brainwashed With You (Though if You’re Not Available, Someone Else Will Have to Do).

I’ve no idea really as yet how I feel about this, but it did take me about 30 seconds to complete from start to finish, which is at least perhaps a good starting point for a defence against any fierce, acerbic and cutting art critics that might appear on the scene.

A Brain?

“They had to take the top of my head off a couple of times to see if I had a brain.” Coming from this man, that story doesn’t seem all that implausible. And did they find a brain? Hard to know. We don’t get told. Though judging by the bizarre, sleazy whispering we see yet again here - the action of someone whose mind must surely be alarmingly starved of oxygen - well then you’d have to be at least moderately sceptical of the presence of a brain; or if there is one present - and come on, in all fairness most likely there is - well it’s probably operating at slightly below optimum level.

George and Bill

The latest newcomer to the ever-expanding talent pool that is the musical industrial complex is none other than the oldest man in the world, George Soros. Despite his great age, Soros has signed a five album deal with Warner Brothers for he and his band, George and the Philanthropists. Their debut single is I’ve Got Plans For You.

Simultaneous to this exciting revelation, Bill Gates is making another assault on the musical landscape with his newest song, Victim of the System. A few lyrics from Bill’s song below:

I’m a victim of the system
They’re always trying to bring me down
A victim of the system
They want burn me to the ground
O Jeffrey
O Jeffrey
Why did you leave me

Marianne von Werefkin

Two paintings by this Russian artist (1860-1938) who seems to have largely lived in Europe from around 1900. She studied for a long time under the great realist painter Ilya Repin, before becoming the very different kind of artist seen above. Should certainly be better known than my only stumbling across her today!

Reappearance

Deep State Cabal have been on a bit of a musical sabbatical for a while, but are now reappearing on the scene with their latest anthem and call to arms, One Man’s Pervert is Another Man’s Freedom Fighter. Rolling Stone magazine describe the song as “courageous and beautiful.” The B-side of the record, for any vinyl junkies out there, is You Will Own Nothing and Perhaps Admittedly Not Be Very Happy.
