why not go all Perecian and get rid of one of the letters?

Oh, and is there a time limit? I've always envisaged finishing the novel I've long imagined around about the year 3024

Sorry bout the delay- internet access gone a bit scarce.

That Perec idea I find kind of strange. It might amuse me as the artist for a few minutes, but sustaining interest in it over a long work to me incomprehensible. No time limit, but within one life span.

Perec's 'A Void' is, indeed, too often cited as evidence of an interesting approach; rarely as an example of a great piece of literature. Which is not to say that such constraints are worthless - not by any means - but the ends need to overcome the means.
