Wise Saying

Let your ego work for you rather than you work for your ego.
Perhaps I should have titled this- 'Very Wise Saying' to stress for the less wise how wise the saying is. Though perhaps that might seem condescending. Not that they'd notice.

I tried that, Andrew. Unfortunately, though, I had to fire him. He had a bad attitude. And I'm nearly sure the fucker was drinking on the job.

What would you expect, Neil? It's the Irish ego...he'll work for you all right, by God he'll work... well admittedly he mightn't work, but if he does work he'll probably have the bad attitude you mention & he'll certainly drink.

What if the ego is itself an illusion, a nieve "point of view" presumption---like holding a finger up in the wind?

Meanwhile, regardless of what the ego thinks or presumes to do, the body continues to exist and function, as does the entire world process altogether.

Yup, the old ego, whatever its reality or lack of, under the conviction that it's master of all it surveys & running the whole mind-body show.
