Better Than Nothing

“The weeds can be better than nothing, you know.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, on uneven ground anyway, the weeds can be the only thing binding the ground together.”

“I suppose so, yeah. In the absence of something better, sometimes the weeds can be better than nothing.”
