Pope Francis has described Satan as “misunderstood”, and deserving of our compassion and respect. “When he tempted Jesus in the desert, he was only trying to have a conversation and become friends,” claims the Pope. “We shouldn’t be too quick to judge. We are all trying our best to achieve the same things - happiness and longevity.”
