“You know the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989, where the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP, ended up responding to peaceful protests by arresting, incarcerating and massacring many of the protestors, mostly students, who were calling for free speech and democracy?”
“That was a long time ago - what about it?”
“Who would you have been for: the protesters or the government?”
“Well the communist government are on the left, so that must mean the protesters were far-right fascists, and so obviously I’d have been supporting the legitimate government against the fascists.”
“How would you respond to the idea it is the Chinese Communist Party are the real enemies of the people, and their true colours are shown when prodded in instances like the Tiananmen massacre.”
“That’s all just racist bigotry coming from far-right fascists. I hate fascism so much. We must do everything we can to defeat it.”
