“What do you think is the quickest and surest way of finding out of a claimed fact is true?”
“Well obviously this isn’t going to be an infallible process, but in general you can look at one of the fact checking systems coming from the mainstream, and if they’ve gone to the trouble to refute some truth claim and show it’s false, then that most likely means it’s true.”
“Ah, that’s interesting.”
“Yeah but don’t bother reading the refutation. That would just be a total waste of time.”
